LIFT is a comprehensive after school program in the Broadway Midtown area of East Vancouver. We support young people to succeed in high school and beyond, because we know that success in school helps to build healthy, successful lives. Using over 60 volunteers we provide tutoring and mentorship to 150 East Vancouver youth in grades 6 to 12, focusing on the pivotal grade 7 to 8 transition.

Tutoring

We provide group and one-to-one tutoring in a safe after school space with healthy snacks.

LIFT tutors are university students and professionals.

Our site coordinators are BC-certified teachers with extensive youth-work experience.

Mentorship

LIFT fosters connections with tutor-mentors and uses games to help build group work skills.

Youth engage in workshops, career mentoring, leadership opportunities, exciting recreation activities and field trips.

*LIFT is offered free of charge thanks to our generous funders and community partners.
